The Savage came equipped stock with 1 inch diameter handlebars. All of the factory controls unscrew from the bar (look on their undersides) except for the grips. If you want to put on different bars but reuse your grip set, drip some nail polish remover into the little gaps at the flare of the grip. Twist off the grips. Once your new bar is installed, spray the bar ends and the inside of whatever grips you use with hair spray, it will act as lube AND bar cement.
